Back on March 18 I stumbled across an Eagle’s Nest as I was out for a bike ride just a bit south and east of Tacoma. Luckily I had my camera with my Sigma 150mm x 600mm, so I pulled off to the shoulder for a closer look. Imagine my delight as I looked through the viewfinder to see a white head barely popping up over the brim of the nest.
Over the course of the last 4-5 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to see and snap photos of tons of Bald Eagles around the Puget Sound region but being able to observe the incubation process at an occupied nest is a first for me and I’m excited to head to the nest every day to check on the progress.
This post is going to serve as a blog to document what I’m seeing as I visit the nest at least once daily. I don’t intend on doing a lot of writing about this experience just yet, instead I’ll let the photos do the talking for me.
